The Generation Study is a new research study that tests newborn babies for over 200 genetic conditions which usually appear in the first few years of life, can be improved if caught early, and can be treated through the NHS. It is a groundbreaking research initiative run by Genomics England in partnership with NHS England, that could help shape the future of healthcare.

By taking part, parents of a newborn child could find out early about a possible genetic condition in their baby. For some families, it could mean a diagnosis before symptoms appear – and access to care that could make a life-changing difference.

Emily Darlington, the MP for Milton Keynes Central, introduces the study through this video, encouraging people to learn more about the project or to get involved. For further information, please visit www.generationstudy.co.uk.
