"What is confidence?"
Like many words in English, there is a mystery to the word "confidence." And we can approach this mystery by examining its roots. The word comes from the Greek words "con" -- meaning "with" -- and "fidelis" -- meaning "faith." So "confidence" literally means "with faith," or "faithfully." This isn't typically how we think we're using this word in standard English. However, understanding this mystery can help us unlock some of the hidden potential of confidence.
