YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOn today’s Outkick the show, Clay Travis discussed the ridiculous charge that the five black NFL coaches (Hue Jackson, Todd Bowles, Vance Joseph, Marvin Lewis, and Steve Wilks) were fired today because of racism.
Clay Travis said the five black NFL coaches -- Hue Jackson, Todd Bowles, Vance Joseph, Marvin Lewis, and Steve Wilks -- were fired because they had bad coaching records not because of racism.
Clay Travis further pointed out that fired white NFL coaches (Mike McCarthy, Dirk Koetter, and Adam Gase) actually had a higher winning percentage that black head coaches who were fired.
Clay Travis said the winning percentage of white NFL coaches was 56% and black NFL coaches had a winning percentage of 43%. So white NFL coaches were held to a higher standard.
Clay Travis said Marvin Lewis had a 52% winning percentage, Vance Joseph had a 34% winning percentage, Steve Wilks had a 19% winning percentage, Todd Bowles had a 38% winning percentage, Hue Jackson had a 7.5% winning percentage, Adam Gase had a 48% winning percentage, Dirk Koetter had a 40% winning percentage, and Mike McCarthy had a 62% winning percentage.
Clay Travis said even if you drop Mike McCarthy McCarthy and Hue Jackson, white and black outliers, black coaches have a 47% winning percentage.
Clay Travis also said on Outkick the Show and on his radio show Outkick the Coverage Marcus Mariota is no longer the franchise quarterback for the Tennessee Titans. Clay Travis said Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota made a business decision not to play against the Colts on Sunday. Clay Travis said if former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair were in the same situation, Steve McNair would have played the game.
And lastly, Clay Travis on Outkick the Show and on Outkick the Coverage, said there is only one football team outside of the Mason - Dixon line that is capable of playing for the national championship in college football and the college football playoff. Clay Travis said Ohio State is the only football team not in the South that could actually compete for the national championship in the college football playoff.
