Clay Travis: LeBron disaster, Zion Williamson, Kellen Winslow, Adidas NCAA trial

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers last night in NBA action. The Lakers are all but mathematically out of contention for a playoff birth, said Travis, mostly due to the horrid performance of LeBron James on defense and the collapse of team chemistry after the trade-attempt-gone-wrong with the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis. Clay Travis pointed out how the other Lakers players have turned on LeBron as well as the Lakers fans, who, just last night, were taunting LeBron James during a home game by chanting “We want Kobe.”

Clay Travis also discussed the situation with the Duke Blue Devils and their star Zion Williamson. According to Clay Travis, the announcement was made today that Zion will not be playing in Duke’s final home game tonight, which is probably foreshadowing the end of Zion Williamson’s career at Duke. Zion, said Travis, is nursing a knee injury following a blowout of his Nikes during a recent game against North Carolina.

Clay continued by sharing the questionable treatment of NFL prospects by the media due to their skin color, as college quarterbacks Fitzpatrick & McSorley, who happen to be white, were asked to play different positions during the combine. This, in contrast, said Travis, to the megastory last season when Lamar Jackson was asked to do the same, and the “woke media” outlets took this opportunity to call it racism.

Clay Travis also discussed the case of the Adidas executives and an aspiring NBA agent involved in a pay-for-play scheme involving some high end recruits. This case has involved the FBI and is now, said Travis, blurring the lines between NCAA rules and the law. LSU’s Will Wade and Arizona’s Sean Miller will be subpoenaed for an upcoming federal trial, said Travis, and is a fascinating/messy story to watch.

Also, Clay Travis discussed the arrest of former NFL player Kellen Winslow, who was arrested for alleged lewd conduct with a 77 year old woman at his gym. This after other charges of sexual misconduct were filed, which former ESPN announcer and current “social justice warrior” Jemele Hill decided was, according to Travis, a case of racial prejudice against Winslow because of his skin color.
