YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOn today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the recent Anthony Davis trade from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Los Angeles Lakers. Clay said Lakers owner Jeanie Buss made the decision to add Davis who won’t complement LeBron’s skillset and is also susceptible to injury. The Lakers have decided to try and build around LeBron, as he is about to turn 35, but took the wrong path, according to Travis. The load management trend is also going to adversely affect the NBA’s already declining ratings, and the solution is probably to lessen their number of games per season.
Clay Travis then talked about OJ Simpson’s decision to join Twitter and speak without a filter to “settle scores.” OJ decided to spend Father’s Day denying the rumors claiming he is Khloe Kardashian’s father, and is promising to offer political opinions, which, according to Travis, will be fascinating. On top of this craziness, Clay Travis shared an opinion piece from the Washington Post which blasted white people for not supporting OJ Simpson following his two murders. It is Clay Travis’ opinion that it is not a racially sensitive story but simply a murder story.
Clay Travis then mentioned his trip to the College World Series in Omaha where he attended the Arkansas-Florida State game with radio host Bobby Bones. Clay highly recommended attending the series.
Clay Travis also talked about Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson and their injuries during the NBA Finals. It is Clay’s opinion that the Warriors would have won the tournament if they would have stayed healthy. The Raptors win has given the NBA a false picture of parity, said Travis. Clay also said the best gambling value right now would be to bet on the Houston Rockets or the Toronto Raptors in 2020.
Clay Travis then wondered if Lavar Ball is finally banned from ESPN or other talk shows after questionable comments while appearing on First Take with Molly Qerim yesterday.
Finally, Clay Travis addressed the Michelle Beadle drama on ESPN, with insiders leaking how she isn’t liked at the Worldwide Leader and likely won’t last on ESPN. A recent article in the NY Post supposedly offered an inside look at what’s really going on at ESPN with Beadle, and it doesn’t look pretty. Beadle’s decision to go “super woke” was a bad move for Beadle and her approach to covering sports, said Travis.
