as posted by the channelOn today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the collapse of the Cleveland Browns, who are now, according to Travis, heading toward a 1-6 record.
Clay Travis then commented on Jim Harbaugh and his lackluster coaching career at the University of Michigan. Relative to expectation, Jim Harbaugh is the most over-rated coach in college football, said Travis, and offered his defense with some revealing statistics representative of his coaching struggles the Wolverines.
Clay Travis then talked about the Georgia - Notre Dame game on Saturday, and has the opinion that the game revealed Notre Dame is better than expected while Georgia is weaker.
Clay Travis also recognized Auburn’s success and how the media is overlooking a strong team that is better than previously believed.
Clay Travis continued by commenting on the University of Tennessee Volunteers and their incompetency resulting in an unsurprising loss to the University of Florida. The loss revealed their weakness in their defensive secondary as well as in their quarterback Jarrett Guarantano who is particularly challenged in his ability to see his downfield options and make appropriate passing decisions.
Clay Travis then reported on Antonio Brown’s decision to enroll in online classes at the University of Central Michigan. Brown could have been one of the greatest receivers in NFL history, said Travis, if he would hadn’t been addicted to social media. His brand, said Travis, isn’t himself but his ability to play football. Brown was unfortunately seduced by the LeBron worldview.
Clay Travis offered his opinion on Jalen Ramsey of the Jacksonville Jaguars and his decision to call in sick on Monday. Clay’s opinion is he isn’t sick but is wanting to communicate his desire to be traded by an organization who wants to keep him.
Clay Travis then commented on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and his average performance against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. This, said Travis, revealed what he thought all along, that Jackson is an average QB with average talent. In contrast, Clay shared how Daniel Jones showed himself to be excellent while the media and the public chastised the New York Giants for choosing him as their number one draft pick in 2019. Most of these storylines were race-related, said Travis, and that is unfortunate.
Clay Travis then gave his SEC power rankings for this week as well as his national top ten list in college football. Clay also ranked his current top 4 candidates for the Heisman Trophy with LSU quarterback Joe Burrow topping his list.
