YouTube Description
as posted by the channelOn today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis addressed Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his knee injury in last night’s Thursday Night Football matchup against the Denver Broncos. It has been reported that the structural damage is not as severe as originally expected, and, given the weakness of the Chiefs’ schedule, he might have the luxury of taking six weeks to completely heal, said Travis, and still be in the hunt to win the AFC West.
Clay Travis then presented his college football gambling picks for Week 8:
Ohio State -27.5 at Northwestern, now Ohio State -28
Tap the veins, boys and girls, it’s time for the first blood bank guarantee of the weekend:
Florida at South Carolina the under 49, now 45.5
Auburn -18.5 at Arkansas, now Auburn -19
Clemson at Louisville +24 and the over 62.5
Wisconsin -31 at Illinois, now Wisconsin -31
Kentucky at Georgia -24.5, now Georgia -25
LSU -19 at Mississippi State, now LSU -18.5
Mizzou -21.5 at Vanderbilt, now Mizzou -21
Tap the veins, we’ve got our second blood bank guarantee of the weekend:
Michigan at Penn State -8.5, now Penn State -9
Clay Travis then commented on Zion Williamson’s injury, which will put him out of the New Orleans Pelicans lineup for weeks. Clay’s concern going forward is wether or not Zion’s enormous body can endure the stress and strain of an NBA season.
Clay Travis talked about the similarities between former Georgia Bulldog head coach Mark Richt and current head coach Kirby Smart’s records through their first 3.5 seasons. Richt’s record was 37-9 while Kirby Smart’s current record at Georgia is 37-11, and each of them at this stage has one SEC title under their belt. This might be a surprising stat to many Georgia fans, said Travis, as many seem to revere Smart as a far better coach.
Finally, Clay Travis brought up Hillary Clinton’s continued string of conspiracy theories, this time appearing on a recent podcast where she said Tulsi Gabbard and Jill Stein are favorite candidates and “assets” of Russia. This, said Travis, is wild, and is more evidence that Clinton has yet to get over loss to Donald Trump in 2016.
