Coronavirus update, Olympics 2020, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis discussed the current status of the coronavirus and referenced a recent article on the difference between “total war and targeted strikes” when it comes to the virus. Clay shared that 60 million Americans work for small businesses and how many of them operate on the thinnest of margins. Clay suggested supporting small businesses by ordering takeout and purchasing gift cards to help local businesses survive.

Clay Travis also commented on the number of industrial companies like Ford and GM and Tesla who are now flipping their businesses to produce large a number of items for the health care industry like ventilators and masks.

Clay Travis also shared how the 2020 summer olympics will likely be delayed for at least a year. Clay believes that is a smart decision since no one knows an exact date when sports will return, although Clay believes it will occur sometime this summer.

Clay Travis went on to question the New England Patriots on their decision at quarterback to go from 20 years of Tom Brady to Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer.

Clay Travis continued by discussing the future for quarterbacks Cam Newton and Jameis Winston. Clay doesn’t see Cam Newton becoming a starting QB for any team in 2020, but many teams might approach him as a backup. Jameis Winston, on the other hand, has a questionable future after falling apart last season.
