27:27Now PlayingOn today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis shared the most recent and underreported positive news on the coronavirus front.
Clay Travis then shared his thoughts on the drama surrounding the renaming of the Washington Redskins. “I would love to see Dan Snyder explode everybody’s brain by changing the Redskins name while also signing Colin Kaepernick. How would the woke media respond? Instead of being a pariah he could become the left-wing, liberal hero of the NFL.”
Clay Travis continued by commenting on the 2020 college football season. “The safest place for college football players is on campus where they can be tested,” said Travis.
Clay Travis then talked about Zion Williamson leaving the NBA bubble in Orlando for an “urgent” family matter. “The NBA wants the baton passed from LeBron to Zion as their next big star as LeBron ages out of the league. With Zion leaving the bubble for a family matter, he will have to re-quarantine before he can return. This is going to be a problem for the NBA.”
Clay Travis also gave credit to Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s for his disparaging comments about today’s athletes and the ongoing trend of anti-semitism. “Every race has racists. This is a 100%, definite fact. The goal should be for everyone to spend less time only worried about themselves but to focus on all people being treated equally. Props to Kareem Abdul Jabbar for his piece; it is really smart. Go read it.”
Clay concluded by wondering why more attention wasn’t given to yesterday’s return of crowds to sporting events. “NASCAR just had over 20K fans present for their race in Bristol. This is the first time we have had a massive crowd for a big sporting event since March and I don’t understand why it isn’t receiving more attention in the media. This is a big story.”
