On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis shared the most recent and underreported positive news on the coronavirus front.

Clay Travis shared his thoughts on the NFL’s recent decision to allow political decals on team helmets. “The NFL needs to be careful to not discriminate on content like the NBA is doing. If they’re going to allow political statements on their helmets, teams and players need to be able to make a variety of different statements. They need to be consistent.”

Clay Travis also discussed the future of high school and college football for the 2020 season. “High-end, pro athletes in the NFL are going to play football, lower-end, high school athletes are playing, so that easily means we are going to have college football in the SEC and Big 12 at a minimum. I hope the Pac-12 and Big Ten come to their senses.”

Clay Travis continued by talking about the drama with at the White House with the press corps and press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany. “I don’t know either of these women, but I listened to it like 20 times and every single time I heard ‘lying bitch.’ If I was on a jury, and I had to vote, I would say she said ‘lying bitch.’”

Clay Travis also commented on the Twitter war between Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence and a Twitter spat with a local reporter from Louisiana. “Trevor Lawrence got into a Twitter war-of-words with a local Louisiana news guy who said Joe Burrow was his daddy. A feud like this is one of the reasons why college football is great. All we need now is for Joe Burrow to get in the mix.”

Clay Travis concluded by discussing the good news from professional sports and coronavirus testing. “Yesterday we had 4,170 tests in the MLS, the NHL, and the NBA. Two of them were positive and both were in the NHL. Sports are coming back because facts matter and the number of positive tests are minimal.”
