23:04Now PlayingOn today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis shared more positive and underreported news on the coronavirus front.
Clay Travis continued by sharing how MLB is alienating a huge number of their fanbase over their decision to politicize the game. “After all this time waiting for sports to return, MLB is finally back. Unfortunately we can’t just have a beer and watch the game because every player on the field has to make a statement. They are going to alienate a huge percentage of their fanbase.”
Clay Travis went on to talk about Rupp Arena and the demand by black faculty at the University of Kentucky to change the name of the arena. “The only reason the woke community exists is because they are perpetually unhappy. They are never satisfied. I fundamentally repudiate cancel culture and will combat it until my dying breath.”
Clay Travis praised Seattle for naming their new NHL franchise the “Seattle Kraken.” “Something positive has actually come out of Seattle and I want to give them credit. Their online announcement of the name of their new NHL franchise, the Seattle Kraken, was spectacular. And you know if you make social media happy you have done a really good job.”
Clay Travis also praised the Pac-12 for their decision to play college football this fall, much to the chagrin of the coronabros. “The Pac-12 will start their 10-game season on September 19th, along with three weeks of flexibility to play their conference title game. Coronabros are mad, Coronabros are sad, but we are going to have college football.”
Clay Travis continued by discussing TCU’s decision to move their football season a week earlier in week zero.
Clay Travis called out the Washington D.C. NFL team for panicking and deciding to call their football team Washington FT for the 2020 season. “The team formerly known as the Washington Redskins decided they can’t come up with a name for their team, therefore they are going to be known — and this is not a joke — as the Washington Football Team. This is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.”
Clay Travis concluded by sharing NBA commissioner Adam Silver’s decision to endorse Joe Biden for president. Clay believes this is a poor business decision and a short-sighted move by Silver.
