Clay Travis then discussed Aaron Rodgers’ comments regarding the Green Bay Packers’ choice to draft QB Jordan Love in this year’s draft. Clay went into detail while breaking down Kyle Brandt’s recent interview with Rodgers.
Clay Travis also talked about the Dodgers-Astros matchup last night, with Dodger closer Joe Kelly’s “nice swing, bitch” comment now available as a t-shirt available in the Outkick online store. “The Dodgers-Astros managed to finally turn the story from the Marlins situation to what was actually taking place on the field. Joe Kelly came in looking like Charlie Sheen in Major League, and what he did to mow down the Astros was incredible.”
Clay Travis went on to share that 37 states are now planning on the return of high school football in the fall. “37 states are planning to play high school football in the fall. That is absolutely fantastic. All schools should be open, all high school athletes deserve to play, and all 37 governors who are supporting the return of sports are making great decisions.”
Clay Travis continued by discussing LSU football head coach Coach O’s comment during a recent interview. “When asked when LSU would be ready to play, Coach O. replied ‘You call us at midnight, we’ll play in a pasture.’ I absolutely love this quote. They are ready to play in Louisiana and ready to play all over the SEC.”
Clay Travis also shared that Lamar Jackson came out and publicly said he wanted Antonio Brown to join the Baltimore Ravens. Clay was admittedly hesitant to believe that would be a good fit given AB’s history of bad behavior.
Finally, Clay Travis wrapped up the show with his thoughts re: a Buffalo woman’s obituary, where she praised cigarettes and expressed her hatred of Tom Brady. “I was very impressed to see a woman from Buffalo’s obituary, who wrote she hated Tom Brady and loved cigarettes. Even when she’s dead and buried she wants her hate for Tom Brady broadcasted widely. I respect that kind of hate.”
