The Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell talks about the printing press originally being used to spread word of authority but was quickly used to question it. Goes on to say that a free press is vital for preserving our liberties.

He is strongly in favour of a press that's allowed to be irresponsible.

He says that we run a bigger risk of seeking to regulate the press than having a press that is free, raucous and sometimes irresponsible.

References John Milton back in 1644, who was opposed to the regulation of the printing press. Concludes by saying that it's wrong to regulate the press.
