Jeh Johnson's job is to ensure that everything the US department and the US military do is consistent with US and International Law. He talks about terrorism and the historic changes he has been witness to within the American government from the end of conflict in Iraq to the increase in military presence in Afghanistan to fight Al Qaeda and it's affiliates.
He touches on the activities of Al Qaeda in both Britain and the United States and defines our common enemy in the war against terror as being an armed organisation with no ideology or religious purpose but being a group dedicated to the taking of innocent lives.
Speculation is then cast over how this current war will end and quotes examples of the conventional endings of wars in the past. He states that we will not have a conventional ending to this war.
