Ben Collins explains that he got the Job as The Stig on Top Gear by blagging an interview just as the programme were planning on killing off the Black Stig on the HMS Invincible. He got the Job after he beat the current Stig's time in a Ford Focus around the track and was subsequently hired at The White Stig. He explains the difficultly in keeping his identity as The Stig a secret.

Ben Collins is a racing car driver from Bristol, England. He has competed in motor racing since 1994 in many categories, from Formula Three and Indy Lights to sportscars, GT racing and stock cars. Collins has appeared on the popular BBC television programme Top Gear as himself, and more famously as The Stig.
