Imran Khan says that his party will be the only party to have an 'Intra-Party Election' and the reason that no party has done this before is that the members will be scared that their party will get out of control. If you have an elected party it will never allow corruption. The reason why he wanted to hold elections within the party is that Imran Khan wanted Tehreek-e-Insaf to become an institution. He wanted elected leadership to come from below, it took 8 months to hold intra-party elections and through this perseverance over 80,000, 23, 000 of them being women, elected officials are now coming to Pakistan and taking oath.

He played international cricket for two decades in the late twentieth century and was Pakistan's most successful cricket captain, leading his country to victory at the 1992 Cricket World Cup, and, after retiring, he entered politics.
