As Minister of Finance of the Netherlands since 2012, Jeroen Dijsselbloem is now also President of the Eurogroup and President of the Board of Governors of the European Stability Mechanism. He took the lead in negotiations between European creditors and Greece over its bailout package in 2015, and is an advocate of fiscal reform to promote the smooth functioning of the currency union.
