Bujar Nishani is an Albanian diplomat, politician and the current President of Albania. He is the 6th to be elected President after the first multi-party elections in 1991.
Before his election as President, Nishani held a number of governmental and diplomatic positions. Namely, he served as Minister of Justice from 2009 to 2011, and as the Minister of Internal Affairs from 2011 to 2012.
