Harry Reid is an exemplary statesman. He served as a United States Senator from 1987 till 2017, where he led the Senates Democratic Conference for the last 12 years he was in office. As Senate Majority Leader from, Sen Reid played an instrumental role in the passing of revolutionary legislation such as the Affordable Care Act. He began life of public service humbly, as a city attorney in Nevada before ascending to the role of Lieutenant Governor of his State of birth. A lover of the planet with a demonstrated commitment over 35 years to preserve nature, Reid received a lifetime award in recognition of his advocacy of conservation in Nevada in 2015.
