It is not always easy to keep your private life hidden from prying eyes, especially for political figures and celebrities. Tabloid culture and the rise of social media indulge an obsession with the daily lives of public figures. The question is where our quest for accountability ends and the invasion of our privacy begins. With great power comes great responsibility, but has intrusion gone too far and does it prevent effective scrutiny of public figures? Is it true that “the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about”?l
