Dr Tomas J. Philipson was formerly a full-time staffer and public servant at The White House, ultimately serving as Acting Chairman of The President’s Council of Economic Advisers. Dr Philipson holds the Daniel Levin Chair of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He received a BA in Mathematics from Uppsala University, an MA from Claremont Graduate University, and an MA and PhD from Wharton School of Business. He co-founded Precision Health Economics LLC, has received numerous research awards, and is a two- time winner of the Arrow Award of The International Health Economics Association. He was also senior economic advisor to the FDA and CMS, and has a column in Forbes.
