YouTube Description
as posted by the channelJune 3, 2013 We have another guest with us this week! I've been looking to get Portland University's Peter Boghossian on with us for some time, now, and we have finally succeeded in getting him on the podcast following his talk at Imagine No Religion 3 in Kamloops to talk street epistemology and sci-fi! At INR 3 Peter outlined a positive approach to getting people to think critically about their beliefs. This is something that has been conspicuously missing from discourse on how to deal with believers, and his upcoming book A Manual For Creating Atheists is an evidence-based discussion Peter wrote to fill that gap. He's also a big sci-fi fan, and during that discussion I reveal yet another dark secret about myself.
But first I'd like to pay tribute to a voice for humanism in Canada that went silent this past week. Dr. Henry Morgentaler tirelessly fought for women's reproductive rights.
