Author Erec Smith is co-founder & President of Free Black Thought, Director of the Mutual Persuasion Project, and Visiting Scholar at the Cato Institute. He is an Associate Professor of Rhetoric at York College of Pennsylvania and an advisor for the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism (FAIR).

His books include “A Critique of Anti-Racism in Rhetoric and Composition” and “The Lure of Disempowerment: Reclaiming Agency in the Age of CRT.” His primary focus is the rhetoric of anti-racist activism, theory, and pedagogy.
