5:13Now PlayingFeminist author Julie Bindel and TalkTV contributor Esther Krakue joins the Piers Pack to discuss the Commonwealth and whether it has lost its importance.
Piers Morgan asks Julie as someone who is anti-Royalist if the Commonwealth should remain and she responds by saying she thinks it "should die when she (the Queen) dies". She feels only the elite in other countries enjoy and see the rewards of the Commonwealth and the common people are starting to see more value in things like NATO.
Esther then counters by saying the Commonwealth gives a lot of smaller countries a voice and access to put forward their issues to bigger countries who can help them. Piers then asks if Julie felt patriotic during the Platinum Jubilee and she responds by saying we shouldn't seek patriotism through the lens of a "privileged family". Finally Piers gets Esther to do the 'flamingo test' - apparently if you can balance on one leg for 10 seconds, you'll live at least another 10 years!
