Martina opens up about the struggle of being diagnosed with cancer and how she felt after being diagnosed with a second cancer whilst still treating the first. She goes on to explain that not knowing the severity of her condition and how long she had left, changed plans with her wife Julia, as they had intended to adopt a child but decided against it.
Piers then asks Martina about the moment she had beat cancer and rang the bell to signify the end of cancer treatment. Martina explains she had a 'pitty' party to celebrate beating cancer and goes on to explain that it has changed her whole perspective on life.
The tennis legend also revealed that she smuggled her dog Lulu into hospital during cancer treatments to keep her company.
