0:59Now PlayingWinning asylum in the United States is hard. In Immigration Court, the approval rate is 19% based on the most recent statistics. We don’t know the current approval rate for affirmative asylum with USCIS because they haven’t released data in years, but I suspect it’s even lower—perhaps around 15%. So yes, it’s hard. But it’s not impossible. My law firm keeps winning cases for clients in both Immigration Court and the asylum office. It feels like nearly every day we receive a new approval notice for one of our clients. You have to be extremely strategic in building and presenting your case. Preparation is everything. The single most important thing you can do to maximize your chances is to practice your testimony before the interview. You do that with a mock asylum interview. That’s the key to our success rate, which is much higher than the national approval rate. If you want to learn more about how we might be able to help you, send the word “consult” to me in a direct message.
