YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIf your immigration court case was dismissed but you still want asylum, your old asylum claim is gone. ⚠️ It no longer exists, so if you want protection, you need to file a brand-new asylum application with USCIS. 📄 What happens next depends on your history. If you previously had an affirmative asylum interview with USCIS, they will accept the new application but forward it directly to immigration court, where you will be in proceedings again and have a chance to present your claim to a judge. ⚖️ If you never had an asylum interview with USCIS, then USCIS will handle your case. That means an affirmative asylum interview at an asylum office after you reapply. 🏛️ For more information, send me the word “consult” in a direct message. ✉️
