YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe government has signaled that it’s going to aggressively re-examine people who already won asylum, even those who later received a green card. ⚠️ They say it’s about national security, but I think more than anything it’s an excuse to try to deport people. Here’s how this usually works. They go back through your immigration file looking for inconsistencies and argue you were never credible in the first place. 📂 If they claim you never truly qualified for asylum, they can strip your status and put you into deportation proceedings. I also think they’ll rely heavily on “changed circumstances.” They may argue conditions in your country have improved and that you no longer have a well-founded fear of persecution. 🌍 If that argument sticks, they can take your asylum and move to deport you. If you receive a re-interview notice or any kind of review notice from the government, contact an asylum lawyer immediately. 🚨 If you need help with an asylum case, send me the word “consult” in a direct message.
