YouTube Description
as posted by the channelI’m going to tell you something that’s going to make the asylum officer love you and your case from the very first moment of your asylum interview. 💡 Before the officer ever asks you about your story, they’re required to go line by line through your entire Form I-589, verifying what’s changed and correcting mistakes. This review can take over an hour — it’s a pain, and officers dread it. I know this because I used to be one. Here’s the strategy: before your interview, email the asylum office a document listing every update and correction. ✉️ Include the part number, the sub-part, the question number, and then the corrected or updated information. That’s it. Do not send a new I-589. That can cause problems related to your filing deadline. Doing this makes the officer’s job much easier from the get go. ⚖️ Officers are overworked and stressed, and anything that speeds up their process and makes it easier puts you on their good side before you even start telling your story. If you need help with an asylum case, please send me the word “CONSULT” in a direct message.
