Winning asylum in immigration court is a huge moment — but it’s not always final. If DHS “reserves appeal,” they have 30 days from the judge’s decision to file. That window is real suspense. ⚖️ If 30 days pass with no appeal notice, the grant becomes final. You’re officially an asylee, and you should apply for your green card immediately. 🟢 But if DHS does appeal, the fight continues before the Board of Immigration Appeals. You’ll need a legal brief arguing that the judge applied the law correctly and that you deserve asylum. This is complex litigation — not something to navigate alone. 📋 If you received a DHS appeal notice, send me the word “CONSULT” in a direct message.
