I don’t get to say this very often, but there’s some good news about asylum policies. 🚨 The administration is scaling back its freeze on asylum decisions at USCIS. But it’s only kind of good news. ⚠️ The freeze is being lifted only for people from countries not on the expanded travel ban list, while most asylum seekers are still affected. That means many cases remain on hold. 💔 If you’re from countries on that list, your asylum decision is still frozen with no clear timeline. Here’s what matters. 💡 USCIS is still accepting applications and conducting interviews, it’s just not issuing final decisions in many cases. So your case may still be moving. ⏳ And when the freeze is lifted, cases that are already interviewed could be decided quickly. I’m Brian Manning, and if you need help with an asylum case, please send me the word “CONSULT” in a direct message.
