YouTube Description
as posted by the channelA U.S. soldier’s wife was handcuffed and taken from a military base just days after their wedding because of an immigration issue from when she was a baby 🚨 Annie Ramos, 22, was detained by ICE at Fort Polk when she and her husband went to get her military spouse ID. She came to the U.S. from Honduras as a toddler, grew up here, teaches Sunday school, and was months away from finishing a degree in biochemistry ⚖️ She and her husband had already hired a lawyer and prepared her green card application before this happened. When they checked in at the base, an employee flagged that she had no visa or green card, and ICE agents arrested her on the spot 💼 She is now being held in a detention center in Louisiana with hundreds of women facing deportation. Her deportation order dates back to 2005, when she was just 22 months old and her family missed a court hearing 📢 She applied for DACA in 2020, but her case was never processed. Her family brought her completed green card application to the detention center, but they were not allowed to deliver it. People who built their lives here and followed the process deserve a fair chance to complete it. I’m Brian Manning, and if you need help with an asylum case or getting a loved one out of immigration detention, send me the word “CONSULT” in a direct message.
