That program was created as a counterterrorism tool, not to track down immigrants ⚖️ But that distinction no longer matters. Real cases show what can happen 🚨 A couple who lived in the U.S. for over 20 years were arrested at an airport in front of their children and deported, leaving their kids behind. A student was detained on a domestic flight, and a mother was arrested at an airport just before traveling. Many people believe that having a pending asylum case protects them while traveling 📢 That assumption is wrong. A pending asylum application does not give you legal status, and the risk of detention is real. If you don’t have legal status, keep your feet on the ground until your case is resolved.
