The White House publicly celebrated an investigation showing asylum approvals have dropped to their lowest levels ever 🚨 More than 100 immigration judges have been fired, and those who remain are being pressured to deny cases or risk losing their jobs. Asylum approval rates have collapsed from around 42% to under 10% ⚖️ Judges who were fired approved about 46% of cases, while newly hired judges are approving only about 6%. Many people are now accepting deportation just to get out of detention 💼 Bond hearings have nearly disappeared for those who entered without authorization. Even so, this is not the end of the road 📢 Immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals are part of the executive branch.
