YouTube Description
as posted by the channelTrump posted on Truth Social that he’s shutting down bank accounts for undocumented immigrants — and people panicked. But what he actually signed on May 19th directs agencies to propose rules and issue advisories. No accounts are being ordered closed today, or anytime soon. 📋 If you’re undocumented, have no work authorization, and you’re banking with an ITIN, you are the primary target of this order. Opening new accounts will get harder, and some banks may start freezing or closing accounts on their own before any rule is even finalized. 🏦 If you have a pending asylum case with a valid EAD and a real Social Security number, the core provisions don’t apply to you on their face. But watch for three risks: banks confusing no green card with no work authorization, gaps during your EAD renewal triggering a flag, and lenders starting to factor in deportation risk even when your status is valid. ⚠️ Keep your EAD current, bank with your Social Security number — never an ITIN. Anyone telling you your account is getting shut down right now is reacting to a tweet, not a signed legal document. Take a breath and stay tuned. 👊 For help with your asylum case, send the word “CONSULT” to me in a direct message.
