3:56Now PlayingThe Duke of Edinburgh, who is 99, has been admitted to hospital after feeling unwell. His Royal Highness was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in London, on Tuesday evening. The Duke’s admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’s Doctor, after feeling unwell. Buckingham Palace say that The Duke is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest.
The Prince travelled by car and it was not an emergency admission and the illness is not COVID related, the Palace have stressed. The stay in hospital is purely precautionary. The Queen remains at Windsor.
