YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn 2008, many thought the election of Obama as president spelled the end of the Republican Party as we know it. However, as Daley, Salon.com editor in chief, reports, the Democratic victory only strengthened Republican resolve to fight back, and a powerful group of the party’s leaders, including Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie, and Chris Jankowski, set about reclaiming lost territory. Using the Citizens United decision to their advantage, these party stalwarts unleashed their REDMAP program, focusing on state legislatures where, in turn, they could influence redistricting, and thereby reshape the U.S. House and keep themselves and their wealthy donors free from scrutiny.
