Elected governor of Ohio in 2010 and now in his second term, Kasich served in the U.S. House from 1983 to 2001, where he spent eighteen years on the House Armed Services Committee and six as chair of the House Budget Committee. In his fourth book he looks squarely at the state of today’s divided country, and lays out two options. We can follow those who are driven by anger, and whose resentment fuels hatred and further division. Or we can work together, as the Founders did, and turn fear into hope by drawing on the strength of the ideals that set the nation in motion at the beginning.
