He’s one of the few journalists to have covered the White House, the Pentagon, Congress, and the State Department, work for which he’s been named a Living Legend by the Library of Congress. Currently co-hosting the weekly “About the News” podcast, Schieffer has been part of the shift from old media to new, and in his fourth book he considers that changing landscape. Drawing on his experience and on interviews with more than forty leading media voices, Schieffer looks at how news is reported today, considers who reports it, and asks if the public is better informed or just overloaded with more information.
