Singing in the Dark: A Global Anthology of Poetry under Lockdown brings together the finest of poetic responses to the coronavirus pandemic. More than a hundred of the world’s most esteemed poets reflect upon a crisis that has dramatically altered our lives, and laid bare our vulnerabilities. The poems capture all its dimensions: the trauma of solitude, the unexpected transformation in the expression of interpersonal relationships, the even sharper visibility of the class divide, the marvellous revival of nature and the profound realization of the transience of human existence. The moods vary from quiet contemplation and choking anguish to suppressed rage and cautious celebration in an anthology that serves as an aesthetic archive of a strange era in human history.
Nishi Chawla is an academician and a writer. She has six collections of poetry, ten plays, two screenplays, two novels, and a feature movie, to her credit.
K. Satchidanandan is a leading Indian poet. He is also perhaps the most translated of contemporary Indian poets, with 32 collections of translation in nineteen languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, English, Irish, French, German, and Italian, besides all the major Indian languages.

Stanley H. Barkan, the poet/translator/editor/publisher of the Cross-Cultural Review Series of World Literature and Art, has, till 2019, his 49th anniversary year, produced some 475 titles in 59 different languages.
Amanda Bell is a poet and writer based in Dublin, Ireland.
Yiorgos Chouliaras is a Greek poet, essayist, prose writer, and translator. In 2014, he was awarded an Academy of Athens prize for his innovative writing and for his work in its entirety. His poetry in translation has been published in leading periodicals and anthologies.
Max Garland is an American poet whose most recent book is The Word We Used for It, winner of the 2017-18 Brittingham Poetry Prize. Previous books include The Postal Confessions, winner of the Juniper Prize for Poetry, and Hunger Wide as Heaven, which won the Cleveland State Poetry Center Open Competition.
Taslima Nasrin is a well known Bangladeshi feminist author who wrote "Lajja." She now lives in India.
Barbara Oppenheimer is an American poet and a retired social worker whose poetry reflects her interest in contemporary social problems, including the unequal distribution of justice and income and healthcare. Her empathy for the underprivileged is evident in her poetry which often involves the downtrodden and the mentally ill.
AMIR OR, the 2020 Golden Wreath laureate, has been recognized as a major voice in world literature. His poetry won him national and international awards, the recent ones including the 2016 European Atlas of Lyrics award, the 2017 Blue-Met Montreal World Through Poetry award and the 2019 Homer European Medal of Art and Poetry.
Diane Wilbon Parks is a visual poet and artist. She has written two poetry collections and a children’s Book. Diane is the founder of The Write Blend, a culturally diverse poetry circle, and was recognized as a 2020 Prince George’s County Poet of Excellence. She celebrated the permanent installation of one of her poems and artwork as a permanent sign at the Patuxent Research Refuge - North Tract.
Sudeep Sen is an indian poet His prize-winning books include: Postmarked India: New & Selected Poems (HarperCollins), Rain, Aria (A. K. Ramanujan Translation Award), Fractals: New & Selected Poems | Translations 1980-2015 (London Magazine Editions), EroText (Vintage: Penguin Random House), and Kaifi Azmi: Poems | Nazms (Bloomsbury).
