He filmed, scripted and edited video for the likes of Tommy Robinson and American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for two years from 2017 to 2019. During that period Robinson’s content was cited at trial as an influence on Darren Osbourne, the Finsbury Park mosque attacker. Caolan strongly denies a link between his work and the attack.
Then he got out. "I was at the centre of that online right system, right in the middle of it," he says. “I made a monster with those videos."
