The decision to take to the water came after her room in Clapton had its rent increased to £1000 a month.
But is it as idyllic a solution to the housing crisis as it seems? Tourists peeping in your window, frozen pipes, and emptying your own sewage are the norm.
And, now, a review into legislation that allows continuous cruising might leave boaters with little choice but to pay expensive mooring fees, leading to a “class-divide” on Britain’s waterways.
