Almost a quarter of young people are dissatisfied with life in the U.K.

1 in 8 aren’t in education or employment and many who are still can’t afford to move out or get on the housing ladder.

And, with Keir Starmer re-instating winter fuel payments to pensioners with incomes up to £35k, it’s not hard to see why some young people don’t think that’s very fair.

But are we really more hard done by than other generations?

We've come to the town with the oldest population in the UK, Rusington, West Sussex, which has a median age of 56, to find out.

The Boomers that we spoke to agreed that they'd had it easier than young adults today: from getting on the housing ladder to getting employment.

Young people in the town told us that housing was their major concern. New-builds in the area were out of their price range.

Watch the people of Rustington give their advice on how to help young adults to Keir Starmer.
