YouTube Description
as posted by the channelSee Kemi Badenoch's statement at today's emergency debate on the appointment of the Epstein-linked Peter Mandelson as US Ambassador.
After Mandelson was forced out amid revelations about his links to Jeffrey Epstein, Parliament was been left reeling. Instead of appearing in the Commons to account for his decision to appoint Mandelson, Starmer left ministers to defend him, prompting Badenoch to accuse him of “hiding behind others, just as he’s doing today.”
Badenoch challenges the Prime Minister to take responsibility for what she calls one of the most reckless and shameful appointments in recent memory. She demands that he: Apologise to the victims of Epstein for ever appointing Mandelson, publish the “Mandelson–Epstein files” in full, and accept accountability for forcing through an appointment that many believe was waved through against security advice.
Throughout her speech, Badenoch hammers home the charge that Starmer is weak, evasive, and incapable of showing the courage demanded of a leader. The Prime Minister, she argues, has “shrivelled from leadership,” presiding over a government riddled with scandal, sleaze, and resignations.
On the eve of a US state visit, Britain is left humiliated by a diplomatic crisis of its own making.
