as posted by the channelAnother Wednesday, another blockbuster PMQs. Kemi Badenoch's enthusiasm for entering the war with Iran last week has aged poorly, and the Prime Minister wasted no time reminding her of the fact.
After spending last week's PMQs pushing the government to join the initial US-Israeli strikes, the Leader of the Opposition appeared to row back on those comments. Keir Starmer replied by accusing Badenoch of the mother of all U-turns. He said that whether to send the country to war was one of the most serious decisions a Prime Minister could ever have to make, and took aim at Nigel Farage too for Reform's inconsistent line on the conflict.
Badenoch attempted to steer the conversation back to the cost of living, hammering the government over fuel duty and the rising price of petrol, but to little avail.

An earlier version of this podcast stated that Trident needs the approval of the US before launch. The UK does not need prior approval from the United States before launching nuclear missiles. Trident is operationally independent, but is maintained and serviced in the United States.
