Robbins recounts a time when the Number 10 Office contacted him to ask that he finds a job for then-Number 10 Director of Communications Matthew Doyle in the diplomatic services, long before Doyle resigned from post for canvassing on behalf of a man that was found to have indecent images of children in his possession.
Not only that, but Robbins notes that Number 10 instructed him to keep his work a secret from then-Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
