YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThis is different from the redox we knew from general chemistry. It's not so much about highlighting electron transfer as it is about the number of bonds to oxygen that an atom possesses. An oxidation increases a carbon's bonds to oxygen, a reduction reduces a carbon's bonds to oxygen. Makes sense, no? Let's look at some common oxidizing and reducing agents while we're at it.
