Sometimes it can be tricky to calculate the precise sum of a series, but we can still use some nifty tricks to determine whether it is convergent or divergent. These are the integral test, where we approximate a sum by evaluating a corresponding improper integral, and the comparison test, where we compare a series to a simplified version with known behavior.
