Rutherford B. Hayes is a rather obscure president, but his election was a pretty famous one. He won on some contested electoral votes, something called the "Corrupt Bargain", and it stained his presidency. People called him "Rutherfraud", and "His Fraudulency". It's just as well, since his ending of Reconstruction was terrible for African-Americans. Let's learn about him now!
