8:39Now PlayingContinuing with genus Homo, we reach Homo erectus. These were our direct ancestors, but it can get a little tricky describing them. We can discuss sensu lato or sensu stricto, which refer to the broadest definition and narrowest definition of the species, respectively. Some anthropologists have proposed breaking this species up to also include Homo ergaster and Homo georgicus. Let's take a look at some of the specimens that guide this line of inquiry!
